Updating Wide Format Products

Overview

This topic describes how to update a wide format product or create a new one.

1. Click the My Store button, then click My Products.

2.In the black Category panel, click Wide Format.

3. Click either the Add button to create a new wide format product, or the Update button to edit an existing one. For this demo, we'll add a new product, based on "Coroplast Panel, W4/0, 24x36" over which we've placed the highlight bar.

4.Enter the Name (Exhibit Display)

5.Click the brown two-page icon to price the sign as being printed on both sides.

6.We'll keep the category as is.

7.What we could do is click the Substrate button and change the substrate from Coroplast to Foamcore. That will make for a better sign and automatically adjust our price.

8.Finally, click the Product Size button and increase the size from 24x36 to 36x72. That, too, will automatically recalculate the price and at the same time resize of the substrate.

At this point you may be tempted to change the setup charge and minimum price, and maybe adjust your markup. This really isn't the best place for it. Here you're essentially creating your own templates. Unless you need variations of the same product (retail vs. wholesale comes to mind), making inline price adjustments is much easier when you know your templates are priced alike. Keep in mind that all the sliders pictured are available in the quote and order windows by just clicking the Custom Product button.
